Our 10U and 12U youth softball teams begin practices in April and continue through May, building skills and team chemistry before the competitive season begins. Our 14U softball team starts practice immediately following the high school season.
Once games begin, practice frequency is adjusted to balance player development with competition. Teams compete two evenings per week, with games running from late May through July.
Our 10U and 12U teams will participate in the competitive Crow River League, playing home games in Willmar and traveling throughout Central Minnesota. In addition to league play, our program competes in multiple summer softball tournaments, including the opportunity to qualify for and compete in the State Tournament. Our 14U team will be participating in tournaments only.
Our youth softball program is designed to provide competitive game experience, strong player development, and a fun, team-focused environment for athletes in the Willmar area.

Attending evaluations is essential for your daughter to have a fair chance at being placed on a team that matches her skills and abilities. The assessments allow the board to make informed decisions, ensuring that each athlete is placed in an environment where they can thrive and make the most of their athletic potential.
By attending evaluations, your daughter will also have the opportunity to showcase her dedication, commitment, and passion for the sport. We value these qualities and take them into consideration when forming teams.
We also understand that life can get busy, but we strongly encourage parents and guardians to prioritize their daughter's attendance at the evaluations. Missing this crucial assessment may limit her chances of being placed on a team that best suits her abilities and goals.
Remember, evaluations are the gateway to an exciting journey in sports. Don't miss out on this opportunity for your daughter to shine and be a part of our amazing teams.
Open gyms are a great opportunity for girls to prepare for the upcoming softball season. Players can get extra reps in hitting, fielding, throwing, catching, and pitching while building confidence before evaluations.
Open gyms provide a positive, team-focused environment to sharpen skills and get ready for summer competition.
